Consolidated revenue rose 0.3% compared to the same period last year.

The electric power provider, KEPCO, saw its consolidated revenue increase 0.3% year-on-year during the first half of 2026. The company operates through four primary segments: electricity sales, nuclear power generation, thermal power generation, and other business services.

Electricity sales remained the largest contributor to the company's top line, accounting for 64.9% of total revenue in the first half of 2026. This segment serves 25,415 thousand customers across South Korea. Industrial use represented the largest portion of power sales at 51.1%, followed by general use at 25.6%, residential use at 15.2%, and other sectors at 8.1%.

Nuclear power generation contributed 11.8% of total revenue during the same period. Thermal power generation, which includes five separate generation subsidiaries, accounted for 19.4% of the revenue mix. The remaining 3.9% of revenue came from the other business segment, which includes power plant design, facility maintenance, and ICT services.

Price trends for electricity varied by customer type. Residential rates were 156.69 won/kWh in the first half of 2026, down from 158.97 won/kWh in 2025. Industrial rates were 179.01 won/kWh, compared to 181.90 won/kWh in 2025. Agricultural rates rose to 90.42 won/kWh from 88.55 won/kWh in the previous year.

In the generation sector, nuclear power prices rose to 96.47 won/kWh from 82.33 won/kWh in 2025. Conversely, thermal power prices declined across all subsidiaries. For example, rates at Korea South-East Power rose from 133.93 won/kWh in 2025 to 128.37 won/kWh in the first half of 2026.

Following the reporting period, the company issued several bonds in July and August 2026. It also invested in KEPCO Engineering Holding on July 2, 2026.
