LG Uplus grows second quarter service revenue

On a standalone basis, service revenue grew 2.8% year-on-year to 2 trillion 877.7 billion won,. Total operating revenue for the second quarter reached 3 trillion 694.9 billion won, which included 618.4 billion won in consolidated device revenue,.
Mobile services remained the largest contributor to standalone service revenue, accounting for 56.9% of the total,. Mobile service revenue rose 1.2% year-on-year to 1 trillion 595.9 billion won in the second quarter. The company reached 31.47 million cumulative mobile lines, representing a 5.2% year-on-year increase. This figure indicates a capacity utilization rate of 60.5% compared to the maximum number of lines the company can support. Within the mobile segment, 5G cumulative handset subscribers totaled 9.55 million, making up 84.9% of all handset subscribers.
Smart home revenue grew 4.3% year-on-year to 663.8 billion won, contributing 23.6% of standalone service revenue. This growth was supported by IPTV revenue, which rose 2.1% year-on-year to 337.7 billion won, and high-speed internet revenue, which grew 7.6% year-on-year to 325.1 billion won. The company attributed the rise in high-speed internet revenue to an increase in Giga subscribers and the adoption of smart plans. IPTV cumulative subscribers rose 1.3% year-on-year to 5.776 million, while high-speed internet cumulative subscribers grew 3.6% year-on-year to 5.677 million.
Enterprise infrastructure revenue increased 8.6% year-on-year to 464.4 billion won. This segment represented 16.5% of standalone service revenue,. Telephone service revenue accounted for the remaining 3.0%,.
For the first half of 2026, consolidated revenue from the LG Uplus segment totaled 7 trillion 6.995 billion won, while the LG HelloVision segment recorded 491.667 billion won,. The combined total revenue for the period was 7 trillion 498.662 billion won,.
LG Uplus is focusing on AI and data infrastructure to establish future growth foundations. The company is pursuing the construction of a new AI Data Center in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, to meet rising demand for AI computation and cloud services. Additionally, the company established LG Uplus VoltUp on June 5, 2024, as a joint venture with Kakao Mobility to increase its presence in the electric vehicle charging market.
Regarding future operations, the company said it intends to expand its high-loyalty customer base by strengthening customer-centric service offers in the B2C sector. In the B2B sector, the company plans to secure new orders and references by enhancing its competitiveness through AI Data Center capabilities.
